Apicius, Ancient Rome

Today’s link (a bunch of recipes from Apicius’ very Ancient Roman cookbook) is in honour of the Latinist studying Aurelius who was one of the members of the citizen’s jury I just participated in. And if someone can find an elegant paraphrase for that first sentence, I will translate you a recipe from my printed edition of Apicius as well, because it was a truly ugly sentence.

I am finished with civic service - in case you were worrying -and back to normal life.
