irrevelant aside
I was about to give you a family recipe (it being Saturday) and I will shortly, I promise. I just wanted to say that - on the way to the family recipe - I checked my refrigerator. I have asparagus, sugar snap peas, mixed lettuce, mushrooms and capsicum. Dinner tonight is obviously a vegetable omelette and tomorrow night is chicken breast rolled in spices and fried in a little olive oil then served on a bed of mixed lettuce with perhaps a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. And after that I need to go shopping. Or I can live on macadamia nuts and fine dark chocolate, of which I have an unconscionable quantity.

I’d go for that dark chocolate thing, absolutely! *grin*
The chicken sounds good, though. But getting The Tour Manager to eat a veggie anything? For-get it!

Both of those meals - the omelet and the chicken - sound tasty to me (or maybe I shouldn’t read your blog at dinner time). My husband is a big meat eater, but he enjoys a well-stuffed veggie omelet as well. What is a capsicum? Is that a kind of hot pepper, like a jalapeño or serrano?

Capsicum is bell pepper. I ended up using it in bean salad for brunch today, since I forgot to eat breakfast :).
