More book buying
I forgot one of my favourite sites for buying food-related books. I don’t know how I forgot, since it’s one of the ones I head for first when I’m checking to see if I need a book. And it has recipes on the site. How could I forget recipes?
The shop is Foodbooks and if I were making a dream list of culinary history stuff I wanted, the easiest way to do it would be to say “Everything they stock except that which I already own.” Lots and lots of fascinating books. Every time I visit the site I go into yearning mode. Since you get to share the yearning today, the page you should visit in particular is the one on US regional cooking.
On a related note, on my other blog, we’re talking about definitions of the word ‘colonial’ and wondering if cookbooks use it oddly from time to time.
